Research has shown that investment into the metaverse reached US$120 billion in the first half of 2022 – already more than double the figure for all of 2021.
To create value from the metaverse, three steps are essential: Develop a value-focused strategy by defining your goals and a role that will generate value; Test, learn and adapt to user preferences by launching initial activities, monitoring results and refining your approach; Prepare to scale by aligning talent and tech capabilities, and embed the metaverse in your business strategy and operating model.
In the end, with its potential to generate up to US$5 trillion in value by 2030, the metaverse is simply too big to be ignored. This is why businesses and consumers alike are advised to explore and understand as much about it as possible, as soon as possible.
